Pharmacy Technicians
Registered pharmacy technicians are health care professionals who assist pharmacists in the day-to-day operations within a licensed pharmacy. Working closely with pharmacists, the technician is instrumental in the safe and effective treatment of patients with pharmaceuticals and prescriptive devices needed in the treatment and diagnosis of disease.
Pharmacy technicians are an important and vital asset to the patients’ overall treatment by allowing the pharmacist to take more time with consulting with patients and doctors.
Working Environment
Pharmacy Technicians work in a variety of settings. Some of these settings include out-patient pharmacies, extended care facilities, home health care pharmacies, health maintenance organizations, health care clinics, industrial clinics, governmental pharmacies, schools, armed forces, hospital pharmacies, and correctional facilities.

The starting pay for pharmacy technicians ranges, depending on the amount of experience and the specific area of employment.
Pharmacy Course Schedule
The pharmacy technician program runs for 14 consecutive weeks. During the first seven weeks, students are required to attend 3 classes per week, consisting of 4.5 hours of lecture per class. During last seven weeks, students are required only to attend one class per week, again lasting 4.5 hours.
Course Schedule:
Week#1-#7: Wed., Thurs., Fri- 6:30 p.m. – 10:50 p.m.
Week #8-#14: Fri-6:30 p.m. – 10:50 p.m.
